$99 Samsung Galaxy Tablets + More Samsung On Sale

When Amazon Prime Day was pushed back to October there was a bit of speculation (by myself, alone in the middle of the lawn) that there would be a wide selection of tablets on sale considering both Apple and Microsoft would be releasing new tablets between then and now. Well, Prime Day is now upon us and the selection of tablets that aren’t Amazon-branded leaves something to be desired. That is, there isn’t much going on besides three Samsung tablets on sale.

It’s not like that is a bad thing, Samsung makes a solid tablet. I’ve got at least three or four in a pile over there in the electronics cabinet, refurbished after been thrown out by a corporate enterprise and repurposed for children to be distracted so I can work (zone out in peace).

Samsung Tab S7 Plus: The next level Android tablet

The pandemic may just have given tablets a new lease of life. People want them for work-from-home or for their kids to learn-from-home. As testimony, the two tablets Samsung just launched have apparently instantly sold out.

The Tab S7 and Tab S7 Plus were launched along with the Note20 series. One wonders why Samsung didn’t reset their numbers to 20 as well. Today, we’re looking at the Plus, which is a 12.4-inch device or more or less a laptop.

I’ve been following the Tab S series from the time it began and have one of my own from several generations ago: the Tab S3. I still use it but have long since given up comparing because this category of tablets has taken a different direction. The S3 was a lean-back tablet, but over the years, this tablet became taller, more landscape-oriented, and now is more like a notebook that can

Samsung Galaxy S21 leak just revealed massive upgrade to fight iPhone 12

A new Samsung Galaxy S21 leak claims it won’t see many upgrades aside from its chip. But from the looks of this new benchmark, it’ll be quite an improvement.

The new details come from a series of tweets by respected Twitter leaker Ice Universe, who frequently is on the money with their Samsung leaks.

The Exynos 2100 chip scores 693,600 points on the AnTuTu benchmarking app based on IU’s screenshot, while the Snapdragon 875, Qualcomm’s rival chip, scores 648,871 points. This is notable because it’s the first time an Exynos chip has apparently been more powerful than the equivalent Snapdragon chip.

Samsung sells its flagship phones in the U.S. with Snapdragon chips, but in the U.K. and the rest of the world it uses its own Exynos chips instead. Usually that means American Samsung users are getting a better deal when it comes

Apple’s iPhone 12 Will Cause New Problems For Samsung, Google

It’s hard not to be taken in by the romance of using Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 2. The novelty of using a futuristic phone that would be at home in a James Cameron film is yet to wear off for me.

But there’s one missing feature that makes the Fold 2 feel decidedly dated: Face ID.

We all know the story of Apple’s biometric security tech: it debuted on the iPhone X in 2017 and outmanoeuvred any Android rival by at least two years. Apple likes to subtly remind anyone who will listen of this, as you can see in the repeated mentions of the word “advanced” on the company’s Face ID explainer site.
