Suga in Japan saddle, India will need to tweak template | India News

NEW DELHI: As Japan steps into a new chapter with Suga Yoshihide taking over as prime minister from Shinzo Abe, India will have to change the template of its approach to its closest strategic partner in the Indo-Pacific.
Releasing a Japan-India document by FICCI on Friday evening, foreign minister S Jaishankar said Japan is the only country with which India holds an annual summit and a ‘2+2’ meeting at the highest levels of the government. Both countries are now working together on global and regional issues, deepening cooperation in defence and security, and shaping the new policy of the Indo-Pacific.
Yet, with a cautionary note, he said, India should adopt a “more ambitious approach to Japanese business.”
This has become much more important as the Suga government takes shape. For too long, the heavy lifting of the India-Japan relationship has been done by Shinzo Abe and his personal friendship with

The first Big Ten Academic Support Staff Professional Development Event was born this summer. “Leading Through Change” brought athletic academic counselors, learning specialists, and tutorial personnel from all 14 Big Ten institutions together to discuss important topics and develop lasting professional relationships.

“I feel the greatest strength of the conference was the vast array of speakers and presenters who were involved,” said Peter Antognetti, Assistant Academic Counselor at Maryland. “So many professionals shared their experiences and journeys with all the attendees. Are You Planning To Change Your Business Software? Ask Yourself These Important Questions First

Founder and CEO at GB Advisors, he helps organizations digitally transform successfully.

A few months ago, a friend contacted me to ask for some recommendations related to his company. He intended to “modernize” his sales department and was convinced that the first step he should take was to change his current CRM software.

After doing some research, and realizing that there were solutions that offered far more features than his current CRM, he was certain that the switch was the right decision. He wanted just to get my opinion about which specific solution was best for his organization.

I then invited him to discuss his company’s current situation so I could advise him accordingly. However, the meeting did not end as he expected.

Opposition calls on gov’t to remove GCT from tablets, computers

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Opposition spokesman on Science and Technology, Julian Robinson, is renewing a call he first made in June during his Sectoral Debate presentation for the government to remove GCT on tablets and computers in order to make them more affordable for students.

In a statement today, Robinson said that with the confirmation yesterday by Minister of Education Fayval Williams that students would have to access education online due to the continued threat of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is now more imperative that the government takes deliberate steps to ease the burden by making the devices cheaper.

He noted that based on the government’s projections as outlined by Minister Williams at yesterday’s press conference at Jamaica House, approximately 250,000 students require tablets or computer devices to access the new learning environment.

The shadow minister said the planned purchase and delivery of tablets and computers to students would not be
